The MD Series are full-range passive speaker systems with highly advanced processing technologies, to optimize the sound quality and maximize SPL and reliability. When MD speakers are combined with DPU-3K6, processing amplifiers, the whole combination will effectively operate as one integrated, active system. The DPU3K6 amplifier is equipped with processing cards, customized for the MD systems, in order to optimize the speaker performance by means of equalization, phase alignment, sonic filters, crossovers and limiters.
Furthermore, the MD drive units have thermal sensors, making it possible for the amplifier to constantly measure the temperature of the voice coils through the (SENSE) system, a separate cable connection providing feedback from the speakers to the DPU-3K6. If the temperature becomes too high, the Thermal Protection Circuit (TPC) of the amplifier will gradually limit the power to the speakers. This exclusive maximum power control system makes it possible to obtain maximum sound pressure level from the MD speakers, without the risk of damaging the drive units.
The Class H amplifier DPU-3K6 with 1800 W per channel forms the power base for all of the pre-configured systems MD-1, MD-2, MD-7, or for the amplification of each independent speaker system. You just need a processing module (DPM card), customized for each system, installed in each channel of the amplifier. For larger systems, such as the MD-7, a DPU amplifier can be configured for bi-amping, so that one channel handles the top system, whereas the other channel feeds the subwoofer(s)

The remarkable MD-1 is a three-way full-range compact system, providing extremely high sonic performance and maximum power capacity, especially in combination with a designated DPU-3K6 amplifier, The drive units have thermal sensors, enabling the processing amplifier’s highly advanced TPC system to directly control the condition of the voice coils and limit power when necessary. Of course, all drive units have Neodymium magnet structures. Frequency response of the compact MD-1 system is an impressive 35-20.000 Hz.

The compact Master Audio MD-2 represents the most advanced technology within passive speaker systems. It is a three-way full-range system consisting of the MD-15ND2 top with 15” woofer and one MD-15SW subwoofer per channel. Driven by just one processing amplifier, MD-2 is capable of delivering a very powerful performance, offering a perfect balance between size, weight and sound quality.

The Master Audio MD-7 is a non-plus-ultra three-way speaker system, designed for bi-amping by using one DPU-3K6 processing amplifier per channel. With up to 7200 W of power available and high speaker sensitivity, the MD-7 system offers an extraordinary performance. But despite the enormous sound pressure level possible, the footprint of the system is quite small, and the amplifiers can be built into the column.
The advanced Master Audio processing technology enables optimized sound quality and extreme SPL, without audible distortion or risk of damage. The top system MD-64T has ellipsoidal horn loading of both the 3” driver and the 12” bass/midrange unit. System sensitivity is an impressive 104 dB.

The unique MD Disco System is an extremely powerful and compact configuration, tailor made for high-performance applications in discotheques or concert halls due to a very tightly controlled dispersion pattern of just 30°x 20° and a very long throw capability.
The low frequencies are delivered by the mighty MD-218SW subwoofer, and the power and processing is supplied by the advanced Class H amplifier DPU-3K6. System sensitivity is 105 dB.
